Fees:
All fees are payable at the time of an appointment or procedure. All fees including over the counter sales are subject to VAT at the current rate. We are unable to send any laboratory samples for analysis until the account is settled. If outstanding invoices are not paid we reserve the right to recover our fees, which may include engaging a third party debt collection agency. In such cases any costs levied by the debt collection agency will be added to your outstanding balance. Please note this could affect your credit rating.
Pet Health Insurance:
If you require us to process a pet health insurance claim on your behalf, you must provide the correct authorisation as instructed by your insurance provider. You must also provide a copy of your policy documents, which will be kept on file. We may offer direct claims with selected insurance providers but this will be at our discretion and is not guaranteed.
If a direct claim is offered, you must pay your fixed policy excess at the time of treatment. In the event that your insurance company make additional deductions or do not settle a claim, you are liable for any outstanding costs and the balance must be settled immediately.
It is the policy holder’s obligation to understand their policy and be aware of any excess amounts or policy restrictions.
Any disputes with the insurance provider must be handled by the policy holder directly.
The Practice accepts no responsibility for monitoring individual policies.
The Practice will accept no liability for the identification of pre-existing conditions in support of any insurance quotation. As the policy holder, you must accept and understand that the identification of any pre-existing conditions must be agreed by yourself and your insurance company.
Payment Methods
You may settle your account by either cash, credit or debit card. In some circumstances we may require a deposit before carrying out a procedure.
Treatment cost estimates
An estimate will be provided for possible costs of treatment. Please note this is an approximate estimate as at times we may need to change treatment plans according to how your animal responds to treatment. Any changes to costs will be discussed where possible.
Ownership of records
Any clinical notes, images, laboratory records and documents will remain the property of Moore Vets. With your permission these can be passed to another practice/ referral practice. If you require a copy of these at any time we are happy to provide you with them.
Out of hours policy
Our emergency provision is provided by Vetsnow, their details and times of operation are on our website.
Client contact
We endeavour to contact clients either by email, text, phone or post. We will ask your preferences for contact. If you opt for no contact, then we will be unable to send you reminders for things such as vaccinations. If at any point you wish to modify your means of contact, please let a staff member know. Please note that all reminders are a complimentary service, and the owner remains responsible for making appointments for routine health care at the appropriate timings.
